The Azalea Storytelling Festival is one of the Southeast’s premier storytelling events, bringing nationally acclaimed storytellers, musicians, and performers to LaGrange each year for a weekend filled with laughter, music, inspiration, and unforgettable stories.
Held annually on the first full weekend in March — including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — the festival features four nationally known storytellers who share performances throughout the weekend. Each teller performs during each session throughout the weekend. So no matter when you choose to attend you will get to see them all!
Our Story
In the weekdays leading up to the festival, two of our featured storytellers travel throughout the community visiting local schools, churches, libraries, civic organizations, senior centers, Rotary clubs, Lions clubs, and other community groups, sharing stories with thousands of people across the region.
Now operating as Azalea Storytelling, Inc., we are a nonprofit organization supported by a dedicated committee of more than 30 community members who work year-round to bring storytelling programs, educational outreach, workshops, and special events to the area. Join us each March as stories bloom through shared experiences for audiences of all ages.
